When I was first interested in making art of rooms, I told myself stories about what happened in them, and expected my audience to do the same. I focused on windows and mirrors and where the floor meets the wall. As I drew, I mused about gazing out windows, glimpsing myself in mirrors, and sitting on the floor, collapsing against the wall. Then, curious about the relationship between making, imagining, and viewing, I imposed a subject.
