Island Arcade

I tend to avoid arcades, put off by their particular breed of darkness and generally unenthused by competition, but this one was cheerily bright. A garage door made up the largest wall and was kept wide open on clear days. I didn’t achieve any high scores, thanks to the glare, but there was sunshine and that basketball shooting game. And I got so into sunshine and basketball that afterwards I almost went to the park.
